Access Mode
Access Mode is a nonprofit accelerator supporting underrepresented tech founders with mentorship, access to capital, business training, and community networks. The organization focuses on closing opportunity gaps for Black, Latino, Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Indigenous founders by removing barriers to funding and entrepreneurial growth. I served as a Marketing Intern, contributing to event collateral and promotional pieces that supported community engagement and program visibility.
Graphic Design
3 Months

Project Objective:
As a marketing intern, I designed promotional materials for signature initiatives and events tied to Access Mode’s mission of amplifying founder opportunities. The goal was to create clear and engaging visuals that effectively communicated event value, encouraged participation, and reinforced brand consistency within the tech ecosystem.
Key Features:
Designed the Milestone Matchmaking flyer for Techstars Foundercon 2025 to connect founders with mentors and industry peers
Created the Elevation Exchange flyer for Techstars Foundercon 2025 to promote curated exchange sessions between founders and investors
Developed the Build a Breakup: Co-founder edition flyer to highlight collaborative workshop activities aimed at team dynamics and startup readiness
Produced the AI Innovation Challenge flyer to attract participants and showcase the role of emerging technologies in startup growth
Each piece balanced visual hierarchy with clear information delivery, reinforcing event themes while maintaining Access Mode’s brand standards.
Design Process:
I began by understanding event goals, audience needs, and brand guidelines to define priorities for each flyer. I sketched layout options, iterated on typography and imagery, and tested variations to ensure readability and impact. Feedback loops with program organizers guided refinements, aligning visuals with messaging strategies. Through this process, I strengthened my skills in visual communication, layout design, and brand-driven marketing collateral.
